ose Falooda is a rich and cold dessert which is layered with vermicelli, chilled milk, sabja seeds(basil seeds), Rose syrup and ice cream. It is a popular dessert in Indian subcontinent.

  • 2 cups milk
  • few drops Rose essence
  • 1 tbsp Sabja seeds
  • 1/2 cup Vermicelli
  • fruits of your choice
  • ice cream


How to make Rose Falooda at home

  • In a pan, bring water to boil. Add a handful of vermicelli and cook till done. Rinse and set aside
  • Add rose essence to the milk and refrigerate.
  • Soak sabja seeds in water for 10 – 15 mins.
  • Chop fruits of your choice. I used Apple and grapes.
  • I added Sabja seeds at the bottom and then comes the vermicelli.
  • Next comes milk, jelly and chopped fruits.
  • Finally topped with Ice cream and drizzled some rose essence over it..


  • You can also add chopped nuts to the Falooda.
  • Some people add sago to falooda and that is another version.
  • Use fruits of your choice.
