Ingredients

  • 200 grams Paneer
  • 1 cup All purpose Flour
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Garlic finely chopped
  • 2 Green Chilli finely chopped
  • Pepper Powder As required
  • Salt As required
  • 2 tsp Oil

How to make Paneer momos

  • In a Wide bowl, add All Purpose flour / Maida and salt. Add water little by little and form a dough. Knead well and apply oil over the surface and cover with a wet cloth. Keep this aside.
  • In a pan, add oil.
  • Once hot, add chopped garlic and green chillies
  • Add chopped onion and cook till translucent.
  • Now add finely chopped paneer. You can also crumble and add). Add salt and pepper powder..
  • Cook in high flame for 2 mins
  • Now the dough and stuffing is ready. Now its time to shape and steam Momos
  • Divide the dough into equal and small portion.
  • Take one ball and roll into small circles. Keep the edges thinner.
  • Now place a tbsp of stuffing in the center of the circle. Make it like half moon shape and pleating the edges.
  • In a steamer or Idli cooker, add water and bring it to boil. Now place the separator and place all the Paneer Momos over it for steaming.
  • Steam cook for 6- 7 minutes. Once cooked, it becomes shiny and transparent. Do not over-cook. The Momos will turn rubbery.
  • Serve hot with Momos chutney.

  • You can make variations to the filling.
  • You can make it even more spicier by adding Chilli paste while cooking onions.
