- 1 cup Finger Millet / Ragi flour
- 1/4 cup Rice Flour
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 Green chilies finely chopped
- 1 tsp Cumin
- few Curry leaves finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Curd optional
- Salt as required
- 2 tbsp Oil
In a bowl, mix the Ragi flour, Rice flour, chopped onion, green chillies, cumin seeds, Curry leaves, curd and salt.
Add enough water to make a runny batter. The batter should be thin like Rava dosa.
Heat a dosa tawa. Once it is hot enough, reduce to medium heat.
Take a ladle full of batter and pour from a height over tawa in circular motion. Fill in the gaps if any. The dosa should be thin.
Drizzle oil around the dosa. Cook the dosa in medium flame.
When the edges started coming off, flip the dosa.
Transfer the dosa to a plate once it is well cooked.
Serve with chutney or sambar or pickle.
- Beginners may feel difficult to spread the batter over tawa with chopped onions in it.
- Instead of adding onion to the batter, you can sprinkle the chopped onion over the dosa and cook.
- Ragi takes time to cook. So cook in medium flame for 2 - 3 minutes.
- For Crispy Ragi dosa, keep the batter runny.
- Serve with Coconut Chutney or Kothamalli Chutney.
