Onion Uthappam

Onion Uthappam is an ideal breakfast dish which when served with sambar and chutney tastes heavenly.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Dosa Batter
  • 1 Onion Finely Chopped
  • 1 tsp Idli milaga podi per Dosa
  • Oil / ghee as required

Instructions

  • Take an onion and chop it finely.
  • Heat a dosa tawa and pour a ladle of dosa batter over it and spread it thick.
  • Sprinkle chopped onions over it. Now sprinkle idli milaga podi over the uthappam evenly.
  • Drizzle oil over the dosa. Press the chopped onion with a spatula so that it sticks to the batter.
  • cook in medium flame for a min or two.
  • Flip over and cook in low flame so that the onions turn golden brown.
  • Transfer to a serving plate.
  • Serve hot.
