In a bowl, add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, ginger garlic paste and cornflour. Mix well.
Add cleaned and de-veined prawns to the above mixture and sprinkle some water. Make sure prawns are covered with masala.
Leave the marinated prawns for 30 minutes.
Heat a pan and add oil for deep frying. Once the oil is hot, keep the heat to medium and fry till crispy. It would take 2 - 3 minutes. Once done, remove it to a kitchen tissue, so that excess oil is removed.
Serve with lemon wedges and onion rings as an appetizer or serve along with Chettinad Mutton biryani.
Notes
You can add Rice flour also for binding. If adding, add half rice flour and half corn flour.
You can also add egg white. For 500 grams prawn, you can add 1 egg white.
