Checkout Prawn 65 / Prawn Fry Recipe – Prawn 65 is a spicy, crispy and delicious starter. It is very easy to make with minimal ingredients.

Prawn Fry is one of the recipe which features regularly in my kitchen during Sunday Lunch. My family loves it so much and ask me to prepare often. It is such an easy appetizer and you will definitely love it. Prawns need not be cooked for a long time. It will get cooked in 2 – 3 minutes. Over-cooking will make the prawn rubbery. So make sure you follow the steps below and make a perfect prawn 65.  Another important thing with prawn is cleaning and de-veining the prawns. de-veining is very important, if ignored it may cause digestive issues. You can check prawn ghee roast post to see how to de-vein prawns.

For best Prawn Fry, marinate the prawns with ginger-garlic paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, garam masala and leave it for 30 minutes. Before frying, add Corn flour and Egg white(optional) to the marinated prawns and mix well. Fry in medium for 3 minutes. The prawns will curl up beautifully when cooked. The picture below is the prawn fry which was spicy, crispy and very juicy. The Prawns were not at all rubbery, cooked to perfection. We all relished Prawn 65 along with Rice, Mutton Kulambu, Fish Fry and Karandi Omelette. Do try this tasty prawn 65 / Prawn fry / shrimp fry recipe and let me know how you like it.
