Some doctors recommend eggs from the age of 1. But you can start with egg yolk and slowly move to egg yolks after few weeks from 7+ months. If your baby is not allergic to whole egg, you can give this Egg paniyaram to your baby if he/she is already introduced to Idli/Dosa.
Eggs are packed with various minerals, vitamins and several nutrients. It is a good source of protein for babies. If you are introducing eggs for the first time to your baby, then start with hard boiled egg yolk. Mash it well and give it to your baby. Then try to introduce egg whites few weeks later. If your baby is not allergic to egg(though allergies are extremely rare due to egg), you can make variety of egg recipes for baby. This egg paniyaram is a great finger food option for babies above 1 year.
How to make Egg Paniyaram for babies
- In a clean bowl, crack open 1 egg.
- Add a pinch of salt and pepper and beat well.
- Mix a ladle full of dos batter and mix well.
- Heat a Paniyaram pan and pour this over each slots.
- Cook in medium flame.
- Flip after 1 min. Cook the other side for 1 more min.
- Transfer to a plate.
