Momos Sauce / Chutney
Ingredients
- 2 Tomatoes
- 3 Red chillies
- 4 Cloves Garlic chopped
- Salt – as required
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
Instructions
- In a wide pan, bring 2 cups of water to boil. Add tomatoes and cook till it’s skin peels off.
- Keep aside. Let it cool.
- To the boiling water, add red chilies for a minut and remove.
- Peel the skin of tomatoes and add it to blender.
- Add red chilies, garlic, salt, saugar and soy sauce to the blender.
- Blend it smooth.
- Momos dip is ready.
How to Make Momos Sauce / Chutney
- Blanch the Tomatoes:
- In a wide pan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the tomatoes and cook until their skin peels off.
- Remove the tomatoes and let them cool. Peel off the skin.
- Prepare the Chili Base:
- To the same boiling water, add the red chilies for a minute and then remove them.
- In a blender, combine the peeled tomatoes, red chilies, chopped garlic, salt, sugar, and soy sauce.
- Blend everything until smooth. Your Momos Sauce is ready!
Tips:
- Adjust the spice level according to your taste preferences. If you love it extra hot, add more red chilies!
- Use fresh, ripe tomatoes for the best flavor.
- Feel free to experiment by adding a pinch of roasted cumin powder or a squeeze of lemon juice.
