Chicken Lollipop
Ingredients
- 6 Chicken Lollipop Pieces
- 1 Green Chilli Chopped
- 1/2 Inch Ginger Finely Chopped
- 4-5 Garlic Cloves Finely Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Onions
- 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper Powder
- Salt to Taste
- Juice of Half a Lemon
- 1 Tablespoon Red Chilli Paste
- 1/2 Teaspoon Dark Soy Sauce
- 1 Teaspoon Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Plain Flour Maida
- 2 Tablespoons Cornflour
- Very Little Water to Sprinkle
Instructions
- Mix the chicken lollipop pieces with finely chopped onions, ginger, garlic, green chili, pepper powder, salt, lemon juice, red chili paste, dark soy sauce, and oil.
- Marinate for 1 hour.
- After marination, add the plain flour (maida) and cornflour. Mix well and sprinkle very little water to help the mixture bind.
- Wait for 10 minutes.
- Pull the meat towards the end of the bone and rotate to form a lollipop shape.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Carefully hold each piece for a few seconds in the hot oil before fully dropping it in. This helps maintain the lollipop shape.
- Deep fry until golden brown and crispy.
How to make Chicken Lollipop ?
- Marinade:
- Mix the chicken lollipop pieces with finely chopped onions, ginger, garlic, green chilies, red chili paste, soy sauce, salt, and lemon juice.

- Coating:
- After marination, add the plain flour and cornflour. Sprinkle very little water and mix well and wait for minutes.
- Frying:
- Shape the marinated chicken into lollipop forms.
- Heat oil in a deep pan.
- Carefully hold each piece for a few seconds in the hot oil before fully dropping it in. This helps maintain the lollipop shape.
- Deep fry until golden brown and crispy.
Tips:
- If you prefer a less spicier version, reduce the amount of red chili paste and green chilies.
