This Paneer Butter Masala Recipe is one of my most favourite recipes. I have tried it N number of times and always a hit among family and friends. At restaurants, many people would love to have creamy and delicious paneer butter masala. Actually, you can recreate the same magic at home. Checkout the Recipe below and you would wonder how simple it is. In some recipes, they don’t use Onions. Here I have used Onions. Use Kashmiri Red chilli powder for Bright Colour. Fresh Cream and butter enhances the taste of Paneer Butter Masala to a greater extent. The recipe is so simple. Do try this recipe and everybody at your home will love it. Paneer Butter Masala
Ingredients
- 250 Grams Paneer cubed
- 3 Toamtoes
- 2 Onion
- 5 pods Garlic
- Ginger – a small piece
- 10 Cashews
- 3 Dry red chillies
- 1/2 tsp Red chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 inch Cinnamaon
- 2 Cloves
- 2 Cardamom
- 1 Bay leaf
- 1 tbsp Kasuri Methi
- Salt as required
- 2 tbsp Butter
- 2 tbsp Fresh Cream
- 1/2 tsp Sugar
Instructions
- Keep your ingredients Ready!
- Chop tomatoes and onions.
- In a pan, add 1 tbsp of butter.
- Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and bay leaf. Onion, tomato and cashews.
- Now add red chillies, ginger and Garlic. Fry for few seconds.
- Add chopped onions and cook till translucent.
- Now add chopped Tomatoes.
- Cook till tomatoes turn mushy. Switch it off. You can remove bay leaf and grind into Fine paste.
- Add Remaining Butter to the pan.
- Now add the Ground masala to the pan.
- Add Red Chili powder, Garam Masala, salt and ¾ cup of water.
- Let it simmer for 5 mins.
- Add ½ tsp of sugar.
- Now add Cubed Paneer and cook for 2 - 3mins.
- Add Fresh Cream and Kasuri Methi. Mix Gently and Switch off the flame.
- Transfer to Serving dish.
Notes
- Serve with Chapathi, roti, naan, Lachcha paratha or any Indian bread.Serve with Jeera rice or Ghee Rice.
- Fresh Cream is Optional. It gives Restaurant style Taste to the Paneer butter Masala. If you are calorie conscious, you can avoid that.
- You can remove the whole spices before grinding and again this is also optional.
- For bright Colour, add Kashmiri Red chilli powder.
How to make Paneer Butter Masala:
- Keep your ingredients Ready!
- Chop tomatoes and onions.
- In a pan, add 1 tbsp of butter.
- Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom and bay leaf.
- Now add Red chillies, Ginger and Garlic. Fry for few Seconds/
- Add Onions and cook till translucent.
- Now add chopped Tomatoes.
- Cook till tomatoes turn mushy. Switch it off.
- You can remove bay leaf and grind into Fine paste.
- Add Remaining Butter to the pan.
- Now add the Ground masala to the pan.
- Add Red Chilli powder, Garam Masala and salt.
- Now add ¾ cup of water.Let it simmer for 5 mins.
- Add ½ tsp of sugar.
- Now add Cubed Paneer and cook for 3 -4 mins.
- Add Fresh Cream and Kasuri Methi. Mix Gently and Switch off the flame.
- Transfer to Serving dish. Delicious and Creamy Paneer Butter Masala is Ready.
Serving Ideas:
- Serve with Chapathi, roti, naan, Lachcha paratha or any Indian bread.
- Serve with Jeera rice or Ghee Rice.
