The Dosa is made with Ragi flour and it is a healthy Breakfast option which is perfect for diabetic patients. This recipe gives you a delicious and crispy Dosas in 15 mins as it does not require fermentation. Lets get into the recipe now. Finger Millet Dosa Recipe
Instant Ragi Dosa | Finger Millet Dosa
Ingredients
- 1 cup Finger Millet / Ragi flour
- 1/4 cup Rice Flour
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 Green chilies finely chopped
- 1 tsp Cumin
- few Curry leaves finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Curd optional
- Salt as required
- 2 tbsp Oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the Ragi flour, Rice flour, chopped onion, green chillies, cumin seeds, Curry leaves, curd and salt.
- Add enough water to make a runny batter. The batter should be thin like Rava dosa.
- Heat a dosa tawa. Once it is hot enough, reduce to medium heat.
- Take a ladle full of batter and pour from a height over tawa in circular motion. Fill in the gaps if any. The dosa should be thin.
- Drizzle oil around the dosa. Cook the dosa in medium flame.
- When the edges started coming off, flip the dosa.
- Transfer the dosa to a plate once it is well cooked.
- Serve with chutney or sambar or pickle.
Notes
- Beginners may feel difficult to spread the batter over tawa with chopped onions in it.
- Instead of adding onion to the batter, you can sprinkle the chopped onion over the dosa and cook.
- Ragi takes time to cook. So cook in medium flame for 2 - 3 minutes.
- For Crispy Ragi dosa, keep the batter runny.
- Serve with Coconut Chutney or Kothamalli Chutney.
