Schezwan Fried Rice
Schezwan fried rice is a popular indo Chinese dish which is very similar to fried rice but schezwan sauce makes it even more special.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Cooked Rice
- Schezwan Sauce as required
- 1/4 cup Carrot finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Beans finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Cabbage finely chopped
- 5 Garlic pods finely chopped
- 3 tsp Pepper
- Salt as required
- Spring onions chopped
- 1 tsp Soy sauce
- 2 tsp Oil
Instructions
Preparation:
- Cut the vegetables very finely.
- Spread the cooked rice over a plate and let it cool.
Method:
- Heat oil in pan
- Add chopped garlic, carrot, beans and cabbage. The flame should be high. Cook for 3-5 mins. The vegetables should be chopped finely, only then it will get cooked.
- The vegetables should retain little crunchiness.
- Now add schezwan sauce, pepper powder, salt and soy sauce.
- Add the cooked rice and give a mix. Do not over mix, the rice grains will break.
- Now add spring onions and give a quick stir.
- Serve hot
Notes
White pepper powder is usually preferred for fried rice. If you have, add white pepper or you can add black pepper. Use long grained rice like basmati, for restaurant like results. Make sure, you don’t overcook the rice. Do check out my blog for different fried rice recipes.
